The I-MAX 3D unit must be connected to a dedicated computer. it's a bad idea to connect the unit directly to a computer network. During inut's installation it is neccesery to install the communication card, so the computer needs to have an Express PCI 4X (minimum) slot. It also needs two Ethernet cables between the 3D unit and the computer (Ethernet cables 5 E class minimum, 6 class recommended).

Configuration of the computer dedicated to acquisition and reconstruction for Owandy I-MAX 3D:

•Operating system: Windows 7 64-bits or WIndows 10 64-bits
•Processor: Intel Core i7 (4 core 8 threads) 3 GHz or higher
•RAM Memory: 8 GB
•Graphics board: high-end grade at NVidia and supporting OpenGL technology with 4 GB or higher (nVidia Quadro for example).
•Main drive: SATA + SSD (Use the SSD for the system and programs disk, long-term data storage should be done on a standard hard disk), or SAS/SATA 7200 / 10000 rpm, or use RAID.
•Empty slot for communication board on the motherboard (PCI-Express 4X minimum).

Optional: Configuration of the visualization computer for 3D volumes:

•Operating system: Windows 7 64-bits or WIndows 10 64-bits
•Processor: Intel Core i5 (4 core) 3 GHz or higher
•RAM Memory: 8 GB
•Graphics board: NVidia and supporting OpenGL technology with 2 GB or higher (nVidia GeForce GTX 960 for example).
•Network speed: use a 1Gbit network (switch/hub and cables).

Optional:Configuration of the storage computer for Owandy I-MAX 3D:

•Operating system: Windows 7 64-bits or WIndows 10 64-bits
•Processor: Intel Core i7 (4 core) 3 GHz or higher
•RAM Memory: 8 GB
•Hard disk space data: 4 TB or more.
•Network speed: use a 1Gbit network (switch/hub and cables).

If the 3D volumes are stored on the acquisition computer (installation with 1 computer) or on a visualization workstation, it is necessary to add the minimum specifications of the two types of computers together (specifications acquisition computer + specifications storage computer or specifications acquisition computer + specifications visualization computer.
Please note that Windows operating system must be installed on C: partition of the hard disk.
